Xtreme Gel Brush — the builder brush for soft to medium gels
The Xtreme Gel Brush is a builder brush with synthetic bristles for gel nail extensions — in the salon it is simply called a gel brush or builder brush. Its bristles are one millimetre longer than those of the Size 6 gel brush: the extended working surface picks up more product and spreads it evenly over the nail surface.
It is recommended for medium-density and softer materials — such as Titanium Gel, Builder Clear I and II, cover gels (camouflage) as well as pink and white builder gels. For pigmented builder gels, it is worth using a separate brush so that clear materials do not become discoloured later on.
Crystal Nails gives clear care instructions: do not clean the brush with cleanser after work — this dries out the bristles. Instead, wipe off excess gel with a lint-free pad and store the brush between two layers of dry paper towel; a little residual gel may remain in the bristles to keep their shape and structure intact. Before first use, remove the fixing agent completely and soak the bristles up to the ferrule with clear builder gel, then wipe off — this way your brush will last a long time.
