Barbara I (Classic) — the small gel design brush

The Barbara I (Classic) is a design brush made of synthetic hair that ends in an exact tip. Its small size and 6.5 mm hair length give you the control you need when working out gel patterns — a brush for precise, artistic work, often simply referred to as a detail brush for gel. Besides patterns, it is also suitable for contouring and for fine, painted gel lines.

Care determines its lifespan: after gel work, clean the brush between two layers of dry paper towels; cleanser dries out the hair and is not recommended. Before first use, remove the factory glue thoroughly and soak the hair up to the ferrule with clear builder gel — afterwards, wipe it off between dry towels. For pigmented builder gels, a separate brush is worthwhile so that your clear materials stay color-neutral.

The sister version Barbara II works with natural hair and is intended for water-based paints — the Barbara I remains the synthetic brush for gel work in the studio.
